ELECTRICAL CURRENT AND ELECTRIC CIRCUITS (Unit 5 - Science Y6)

Let's learn about the ELECTRICAL CURRENT and THE CIRCUITS. Pay attention it will be very useful to create circuits.




In these lessons you will learnt the different components of a circuit and how to build them.

ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM (Unit 5 - Science Y6)

We are going to start a new topic, this time we are going to deal with ELECTRICITY and MAGNETISM.



  • What's happening in the photo?
  • How is that phenomenon produced?
  • Do thunder and lightning occur at the same time?
  • If so, Why don't we listen them at the same time?

LET'S HAVE A LOOK TO AN EXPERIMENT, it will be very useful to understand the different concepts. 



 Do you think all objects have electric charges?

We can have 
      • Objects positively charged.
      • Objects negatively charged.
      • Objects which are neutral.

When we rub to objects made of different materials, we are creating STATIC ELECTRICITY.

Rutina pensamiento 3X1 y evaluación Semana Juan María 2013

Hemos vivido una semana muy interesante, llena de cosas diferentes, de momentos de convivencia con otros cursos, de símbolos que hablaban de nuestro colegio como las redes, de momentos de ocio compartidos como el viernes y otros tantas cosas especiales que seguro tenéis en vuestras cabezas.

Ahora toca evaluar, toca ver lo positivo de esa semana y aquello que quizás tenemos que hacer de forma diferente para próximos años. Y para eso necesitamos de vuestra ayuda, estos dos cuestionarios no os llevarán mucho tiempo. 

El primero es una rutina de pensamiento 3X1 que ya hemos realizado en más ocasiones, recuerda son tres aspectos positivos y uno para mejorar. 

Y el segundo es una encuesta donde tenéis que dar nota a cada uno de los aspectos y momentos que hemos vivido durante la semana pasada. 

Recuerda dos cosas importantes:
  • Tú opinión es importante por lo tanto no hagas esto a la carrera. Tómate tu tiempo para pensarlo y reflexionar.
  • Cuando termines tendrás que pinchar en SUBMIT o ENVIAR para que tu opinión quede registrada.

20 de Noviembre de 2013: Día internacional de los derechos del niño (e-twinning task)

Today we celebrate that on the 20th of November 1959 the United Nations adopted THE DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD.

Yes!!!! You , as a child, have a declaration of rights, not only all the duties we say to you. THAT'S GREAT, isn't?



Let's watch this video, I want you to know what that declaration says to you.

e-Twinning Task: For our e-Twinning celebration we have to choose one of them. With the one you have chosen you have to:
  • Read the right.
  • Understand it. 
  • Write it down with your own words.
  • Try to make a good picture related with it.We will use it to make it easier to undertand to other people who don't speak our languages. 
  • We are going record a video in which you say the right. Maybe you can say, you can act it, etc....

EVALUATION ABOUT PARTNER'S VIDEOS ABOUT ENERGY (Unit 3-Science Y6)

With this post we will keep on evaluating your partner's videos and mind maps following the rubric and answering to this form.


When you finish reading the rubric and you have everything clear about your mind, you can start watching your partner's video and answering the questions to evaluate it. 
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE CLEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR AND WHAT THE CRITERIAS FOR EVALUATION ARE.


You will send your evaluation through this Google Form. 
DON'T FORGET TO CLICK ON SUBMIT AT THE END.

Los alumnos han utilizado la herramienta de la web 2.0 POPPLET para hacer sus propios diagramas o mapas conceptuales sobre la unidad 3 ENERGY. 

Después han utilizado sus propios mapas conceptuales para construir un vídeo utilizando la web tool http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/

Ese vídeo es "upload" por ellos mismos a su propio canal de youtube para terminar con todo ello, en su propio blog, construyendo un post dedicado a resumir y entender mejor la unidad.

    MY IDEAL CLASSROOM ( English Y5)

    MY IDEAL CLASSROOM

    To review unit 2 "Computer Zone" we will create a presentation about the ideal classroom. We will use Google Drive and Youtube.




    1.Let's propose to your partner to go on Virtual Reality Trip and tell him or her where he or she is at that moment. Record a video asking him or her about what can feel there. (Ask five questions). Upload the video into Youtube. CREATE A SCRIPT AND SHOW TO THE TEACHER BEFORE YOU START RECORDING WITH YOUR MATE. (Remember to take in account: introduction, the body and the farewell)


    1. Title: VRT interview (Your names) 
    2. Description: VRT interview (Your names) Y5A
    3. Tags: colsangregorio, redxxi, English Y5, my ideal classroom
      • Imagine you are in .......
      • What can you touch/smell/...?
        • Use grammar ticket A.B page 14.
        • Key words: Sense verbs (Picture dictionary Unit 2 A.B page 85)



    2. Make a picture about your ideal class. How you want to distribute tables, spaces, blackboards.... On the floorplan you have to write what each picture is. Then upload a photo of your plan into the presentation.  



    3. Create your own timetable. Create a table with the lessons of a week at school.

    • In this timetable you can distribute the time as you want. 
    • Decide what days of the week you will go to the school, when the school starts and when it finishes. 
    • And then what subjects you want to study. Not only add our daily subjects, but also BE CREATIVE and try to add new subjects you would like to study at the school. 
    4. I have a dream. Describe your ideal class and your own timetable.
    • Six sentences about your class.
      • Use: 
        • It has.... / There is .... / There are .....
        • Prepositions of place: In, on, under, in front of, behind, next to,....
    • Six sentences about your timetable.
      • Use:
        • I have .......... at (time)/on (day)
        • Grammar ticket Present simple + times A.B. page 17.
        • Key words: School subjects, Days of the week and Telling the time (Picture dictionary Unit 2 A.B page 85)
    5. Make a Google Drive Presentation following the pattern given as an example.

    7. Create a post into the Kidblog. Remember write an introduction, then embed the presentation and also write a farewell in the post.

    8. Send me the link of your post through the EDMODO assignment.

    Here you have some useful sentences for recording your videos. Don't forget when you are recording a video that you are doing a speech. 

    In this kind of speeches maybe is useful for you to have some sentences to link your ideas.

    As you know, this year we are going to take part in an  e-Twinning project.



    First of all, we should bear in mind that we will introduce ourselves to our e-twinning partners.
    In order to do that, we will start with the task 1.
