Task 2 MY FAVOURITE BOOK: e-Twinning Project: "Reading Together (Year 5)

It is time to focus our attention again into our e-Twinning Project: "Reading Together"

After presenting all the students implied in the project, now it would be time to talk a bit about which are our favourite books and about our houses.

It is going to have two different parts. Let's follow the steps in order to success with the task:

PART ONE

STEP ONE: Create a Google Drive Slideshow. Create the first slide.

STEP TWO: In the second slide include a picture of your bedroom. (You can bring it at another moment)
STEP THREE: Try to review all the grammar aspects you will need for this task. Read and complete the activities of your Class book, page 139.
STEP FOUR: Let's describe your bedroom using ten sentences.

Five of them: There is / there are (page 25 of your book)
Five of them: I have got / I haven't got. (page 27 of your book)

PART TWO

On the shelves of your bedrooms we are pretty sure that you have your favourite book on it. With your mate you are going to create and interview to talk about it.

STEP 1: Try to review all the grammar aspects you will need for this task. Read and complete the activities of your Class book, page 140.
STEP 2: Create the questions for the interview. You will create together because you are going to use the same in both interview (page 31 of your book). The information you will ask about is:

Title.
Author.
Number of characters.
Why do you like it?
Number of pages.
A couple of questions about the cover.
A brief summary.

STEP 3: Prepare the script into your notebook. That means you have to write down the questions and the answers. Let's the teacher check it.

STEP 4: Record the two videos. In each one, a student will be the cameraman and the interviewer at the same time and the other student will answer. In the second video you have to swap your roles.
STEP 5: Upload into your youtube channel the video in which you are answering questions.

PORTFOLIO

As a final part, you need to prepare a post into your digital portfolio to spread it.

Your portfolio should have the following parts:

Greetings: Hello, Good morning, etc....
Description of the activity: In this activity I ......... . It is part of our e-Twinning Project.
Embed your Presentation.
Embed your Youtube video.
Your learning diary:

What have I learnt with this task?
Did I have to go back on something?
How did I learn along this task?
What do I want to learn more about?

Remember you have to add the tags, to order an classify the information into your blog. This time the tags will be:

Once you have finished you have to submit your task to your teacher using Edmodo. For that you have to click into the title of your post in the blog and copy and paste your link into the Edmodo Assignment.

BRING YOUR OWN NEWS - 11ª Noticia gracias a Denisa

Siguiendo con el proyecto "Bring your own news", hoy día 25 de noviembre de 2015 vamos a analizar esta interesante noticia gracias a Denisa:

Para analizar dicha noticia llevaremos a cabo la rutina de pensamiento Quick write-Quick draw.

Consiste en completar el organizador gráfico, en una parte con dibujos sobre lo que se te pasa por la cabeza con este tema y en la otra parte, frases cortas o palabras sobre el mismo tema en 4 minutos sobre la noticia.

Más tarde debatiremos sobre nuestras reflexiones, contestaremos a esta pregunta ¿Qué es un terrorista? y las plasmaremos en el muro que encontramos a continuación junto con la imagen de la rutina.

Tutoría Juan María

Buenos días, un año más llega noviembre y para nosotros los Colegios Menesianos, llega un momento importante la semana del fundador, la semana de Juan María. Del 23 al 29 de noviembre, nuestros coles se transformarán para celebrar, para compartir, para aprender, para descubrir, para crear COMUNIDAD.

Se ha generado una PALETA para trabajar desde las diferentes INTELIGENCIAS en esta semana.

En la sesión de tutoria de hoy queremos conocer un poco más a Juan María, nuestro fundador, vamos a trabajar sobre su vida, sus ideas y los mensajes que nos dejo acerca de diferentes temas. Trabajamos la inteligencia INTRAPERSONAL

Vamos a trabajar diferentes textos de Juan María en el que nos hablará de su familia, su infancia, sobre sus ideas de los profesores, sobre la amistad y los hermanos.

Los profesores os asignaremos un texto a cada uno de los grupos cooperativos, el objetivo de ellos es que realicéis un mapa mental usando el visual thinking. Tal y cómo trabajamos en la tutoría de la semana pasada

Técnicas de estudio, los mapas mentales

Los textos se descargarán en la página que veis en la imagen anterior, pinchad en el letrero que lleva el mensaje con vuestro texto.

Para la lecturas de los textos vamos a utilizar una técnica de APRENDIZAJE COOPERATIVO.

Una vez terminada la lectura cooperativa, realizaremos el mapa mental en papel continuo como ya hemos aprendido. Recuerda:

Tema principal
Ideas Secundarias.
Explicación de las ideas secundarias (Tan sólo conceptos)
Incluye imágenes o dibujos que te ayuden a recordar la información.

Usando de base el mapa mental realizaréis una explicación de vuestro texto al resto de la clase.

Cuando terminéis vamos a difundir nuestro trabajo utilizando las redes sociales. En este caso Twitter a través de la cuenta de vuestro profesor vais a publicar un Tweet, en el que se incluirá una foto del mapa mental, una frase de Juan Mª que os haya llamado la atención y el hashtag #menejoven #colsangregorio. Recordad que los tweets solo pueden tener 140 caracteres y la foto ocupa algunos de ellos.
