EVALUATION ABOUT PARTNER'S VIDEOS ABOUT FORCES (Unit 6 - Science Y6)

With this post we will keep on evaluating your partner's videos and mind maps following the rubric and answering to this form.


When you finish reading the rubric and you have everything clear about your mind, you can start watching your partner's video and answering the questions to evaluate it. 
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE CLEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR AND WHAT THE CRITERIAS FOR EVALUATION ARE.


You will send your evaluation through this Google Form.

VIDEOS ABOUT FORCES (Science Y6)

Tengo el placer de presentaros los post publicados por los alumnos de 6ºB en la asignatura de Science.

Estos posts han sido publicados en el blog de aula:


Los alumnos han utilizado la herramienta de la web 2.0 POPPLET para hacer sus propios diagramas o mapas conceptuales sobre la unidad 6 FORCES. 

Después han utilizado sus propios mapas conceptuales para construir un vídeo utilizando la web tool http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/

Ese vídeo es "upload" por ellos mismos a su propio canal de youtube para terminar con todo ello, en su propio blog, construyendo un post dedicado a resumir y entender mejor la unidad.

Aquí os dejo con cada post hecho por cada alumno.

    THE EARTH (Unit 7-Science Y6)

    As we have learn the Earth in the last lesson the Earth is the third planet of the SOLAR SYSTEM. Like the song said to us it has got land and sea, this is why it seems to be blue.

    THE EARTH



    The earth has two kind of movements:
    REVOLUTION
    ROTATION




    This video may clarify the two concepts for you:



    REVOLUTION: It is the movement of the earth around the Sun. It takes 365 days and 6 hours. This is why we have LEAP YEARS every four years. The orbit around the sun it isn't a circle, IT IS AN ELLIPSE.



    ROTATION: The earth has an invisible axis, and the earth rotates on it. It takes 24 hours. At any time there is half part facing the sun and half part facing away the sun. THIS IS WHY WE HAVE DAY AND NIGHT, and this is why the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. 


    SEASONS: We have different seasons depending on what part of the orbit around the sun the Earth is. It is hotter when the Earth is nearer the Sun, and it is colder when it is further from the Sun. We also have different season depending on the hemisphere because of the slighty tilted axis. 


    The best thing for learning something is doing it. SO LET MAKE A SHORT PLAY TO EXPLAIN THE ROTATION AND REVOLUTION OF THE EARTH.

    YOU WILL NEED:
    1. A torch.
    2. Some  labels: The Moon, The Earth, The Sun, etc..
    3. The script.
    4. Some IMAGINATION.
    In your group you are going to create a short play to explain the rest of the class how the Earth rotates and revolves around the Sun, also you should explain why do we have seasons and day and night.

    MATTER (Unit 6 - Science Y5)

    Today we are going to start a new unit MATTER.

    First to get to know more about Matter we are going to watch this video:

    Where can we find matter in the universe?
    Everywhere because everything is made of matter.

    What are tiny particles called that matter is made of?
    Atoms

    Then, we are going to visit this webpage:

    An element is matter which consists of only one type of atom.
    A compound is matter which consists of more than one kind of atom.

    TYPES OF MATTER

     Are made up of a single type  of element or compound.

     Are made up of several pure substances.
    PROPERTIES OF MATTER

    General properties: All matter has general properties like mass and volume.


    Characteristic properties: Properties like odour, colour, shininness and density are characteristic.

    OBJETIVOS DE LA ACTIVIDAD (Siguiendo Currículo Educación Primaria Castilla y León - Real Decreto 40/2007 de 3 de mayo):
    Al final de esta actividad el alumno será capaz de:
    • Producir una conversación de forma autónoma basada  en las estructuras previamente trabajadas (Past simple questions).
    • Crear varios textos descriptivos mediante la interpretación de una obra creada por ellos mismos. 
    • Utilizar las TIC para la búsqueda de información y para la creación del producto final a llevar a cabo en la tarea. 
    • Reflexionar sobre su propio aprendizaje y organización del trabajo utilizando técnicas de autocorrección y evaluación.

     We are going to make a presentation in DRIVE like this.



      You have to make a presentation with 8 slides.
    1. Title of your presentation.
      • Insert the title.
      • Name and Year
      • School's logo.
      • Your monster's picture.
    2. Insert monster's picture.
      • Monster's name.
      • Monster's picture.
    3. Monster information file.
    4. Describe the monster.
      • Description.
        • Minimum ten sentences.
    5. Monster's daily routine.
      • Minimum six questions and their answers.
    6. Where were you ...?
      • Insert the video which you are answering the questions.
    7. What was HER or HIS father like?
      • Minimun five sentences which you are answering this question.
    8. Farewell.

    EVALUATION

    The final score will be up to 100 points.
    56 points will be given by teachers. (Using this rubric)
    28 points will be given by self evaluation. (Using the rubric and the self-evaluation target)

    16 points will be given by your peer, remember you should achieve an agrement between you. 
     (Focusing on the points given to you in the following document)

    SOLAR SYSTEM (Unit 7-Science Y6)

    It's time for THE SOLAR SYSTEM and the PLANETS.

    Let's start with this new topic in a funny with a song which is going to explain to you the characteristics of each one of the eight planets of the Solar System.





    The Solar System consists on the Sun, eight planets and their moons, comets and asteroids.















    The SUN is the largest celestial body.




    The PLANETS are eight large celestial bodies.
     They can be classified into two groups: 
    terrestial and gas giants.

    TUTORÍA SOBRE LA PAZ "LAS GUERRAS"

    Para empezar esta tutoría, visualizaremos este vídeo sobre "nuestra historia en dos minutos".
    Mientras vemos el vídeo, nos preguntaremos ¿cuál es una de las escenas que más se repite?

    ¿Qué es? ¿Qué significa?

    Según la Real Academia Española (http://lema.rae.es/drae/?val=guerra), GUERRA significa:
    1. f. Desavenencia y rompimiento de la paz entre dos o más potencias.
    2. f. Lucha armada entre dos o más naciones o entre bandos de una misma nación.
    3. f. pugna (‖ entre personas).
    4. f. Lucha o combate, aunque sea en sentido moral.
    5. f. Oposición de una cosa con otra.

    ¿Dónde se da?


    ¿Qué consecuencias tiene? 
    ¿En qué medida dificulta alcanzar la paz?
    ¿Podemos hacer algo nosotros ante el problema? 
    ¿Qué queremos?

    Para contestar a estas preguntas y emitir un pequeño manifiesto, leeremos este artículo de prensa "2014: ninguna guerra a gran escala, pero sí interminables conflictos."

    Y en grupos, rellenaremos esta presentación para luego hacerlo de parte de toda la clase.

    BLOOD CIRCULATION (Unit 5 - Science Y5)

    The previous days we have been learning about NUTRITION, the DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, the RESPIRATORY SYSTEM and the EXCRETORY SYSTEM.
    Today it's time to find out the CIRCULATORY SYSTEM and the BLOOD CIRCULATION.



    CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

    Circulation is the movement of blood through the circulatory system.

    BLOOD VESSELS are tubes which transport blood through the circulatory system.

    RESPIRATION and EXCRETION (Unit 5-Science Y5)

    The previous days we have been learning about NUTRITION and the DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.
    Today it's time to find out the RESPIRATORY SYSTEM and the EXCRETORY SYSTEM.



    RESPIRATION

    Why do we need to breathe?

    What are the two breathing movements we make?

    Discover the answers.

    We need oxygen to lived.
    The function to obtain oxygen from the air is carried out by the respiratory system

    Do you know what it happens in the alveoli?



    When we inhale, our lungs fill with air.
    When we exhale, air leaves the lungs.

    EXCRETION

    It is the elimination of the waste substances.
